Many friendships have resulted from sharing our home with others from different backgrounds and stages of life. I do all that I can to ensure we are a compatible bunch, including background & credit checks, interviews, reference checks, house rules review and meeting face-to-face. In the past we've hosted a Chilean architecture professor, French tea taster, Hospice music therapist, traveling medical dietician, mathematics PhD student, a Brooklyn sculptor and a post doc studying the universe and gravitational waves(!) We are in the town of Milan, which is rural and picturesque, but also very close to the charming villages of Rhinebeck and Red Hook. Four wheel drive / AWD vehicle highly recommended! The Taconic State Parkway, Amtrak (Rhinecliff) and regional public transportation via bus are 10-20 minutes away. NYC is a 90 minute train ride away. Hope to meet you soon!
