Alberta Alive, located in Portlands historic King neighborhood, is a two-site project focusing on supporting the community and Veterans in a permanently affordable project, incorporating art, housing, and robust service offerings. Together the two buildings are comprised of 52 units with a mix of 5 studios, 28 1-bedroom, 11 2-bedroom, and 8 3-bedroom units. The sites are two blocks from each other on NE Alberta Street, a historic heart of Portlands African American community.Alberta Alive provides homes to low-income individuals and households earning 30-60% of the area median income (AMI) levels ($67,680 for a family of four). Applicants can also bring their own Tenant Based Vouchers. Twenty-five homes have been set aside for those with Veterans Affairs Supportive Housing (VASH) vouchers.
