In 1999, Peoples' Self-Help Housing purchased Sea Haven Apartments to prevent its conversion to condominiums and displacement of lower income tenants. As a result of the acquisition and rehabilitation activities Sea Haven now provides the only permanently affordable rental housing in the City of Pismo Beach. The complex features amenities such as an onsite laundry facility, ocean views, private gardens, and is in close proximity to the beach and shopping area.
