Stepping into the four-bedroom house on Shuttleworth Grove, visitors are often surprised by the amount of flexible space it encompasses. The current owners have opened it up and extended its living space to create versatile rooms that could be used for all sorts of activities. “We are both pianists and we wanted to have a large music studio with room for two grand pianos,” one of them explains. “We had an integral double garage and this was ideal for the purpose. We converted it and it is now perfect for us.” This incredible space could equally be perfect as a very large office for anyone seeking to work from home. It could be a superb gym, hobby room or art studio, or it could be ideal as a teenagers’ gym or children’s playroom. Subject to the relevant planning permissions, new owners could even consider using this part of the property as an annexe. “This is one of my favourite places in the house,” she adds.
