Of medieval origin but mainly early C18 with early C19 extension and details. Brick walls of English bond, cambered heads to the older openings. Tile roof, with stone slates to the lowest courses. The main north-south structure of the mill is of two storeys and attic, and rests on a base of stone walling, pierced by two water channels (the arch of one having a keystone inscribed AC 1714).
